I AM and ALWAYS will be a Iron Maiden – Powerslave Lightning Circle Shirt huge Maiden fan…but I think Steve has lost his touch over the years. For me “The Golden Age of Iron Maiden” ended after Seventh Son. I’ll enjoy a few songs here and there per album, but for me the material was never as good after that time period on the whole. Unfortunately I don’t care for most of the stuff that they did with Blaze…musically or otherwise. You can’t replace a singer like Bruce with a singer like Blaze…I’m sorry if I offend, Blaze fans. Steve should let some other people get more involved with the song writing…seriously. Bruce did some really great stuff on some of his solo albums. I love Roy Z and when he and Adrian got together, it was even better. Also considering Maiden has 3 guitarists, their musical arrangements aren’t all that impressive. I don’t think Janick brings that much to the band unfortunately. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THEM, but the last 20+ years could have been sooo much better musically for them.

On the Blaze topic, I’ll take Paul Dianno era any day over Blaze era. They needed a singer the likes of Dio to replace Bruce, not Blaze. Virus is an okay song, with some rather standard stock Maiden riffs in it. Nothing that memorable for me. With regards to Janick, when Adrian left, the band didn’t really sound the same. When Adrian returned, you would think 3 guitarists would be able to come up with some amazing musical arrangements. They generally don’t. This is obviously partly Steve’s fault. The days of Alexander the Great are long gone. I can’t ignore the Iron Maiden – Powerslave Lightning Circle Shirt fact that their best years and albums were with Dave and Adrian.
